Sustainability in trade fair construction

In a world that is increasingly characterized by the challenges of climate change and the need for sustainable ways of working, trade fair construction is at a decisive turning point. By combining sustainability and creativity, a new benchmark can be set, demonstrating that responsible use of resources can go hand in hand with aesthetic exhibition experiences.

In future, we will examine the possibilities for sustainable implementation in all our projects. In exhibition stand construction, for example, this review relates to the reuse and storage of construction elements, the use of certified materials and the use of alternative building materials made from renewable raw materials or other alternative materials, as well as sourcing from regional or German manufacturers or producers.

In this context, the most recent projects for our customers DEHN and minilu are particularly noteworthy.

DEHN's shelter

The basic structure and the individual elements of DEHN's brand presence for the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology, Light + Building 2022, were based on a structure that can be reused for different contexts. The exhibition stand for in-house exhibitions or roadshows was adapted to new conditions such as compact stand sizes for reuse.

minilu's Dreamhouse

Our trade fair stand for minilu also placed great emphasis on sustainability with regard to the selection of individual components and reusability. High-quality and environmentally friendly products and advertising materials were used. In order to be able to reuse all structural elements for future projects and trade fair stands, they were systematically stored. Individual components have already been used at other trade fairs and in smaller formats.

"Sustainable building materials as well as modular and reusable components are the key to resource-saving exhibition stand construction. The focus should be on longevity and variance, not only to avoid the need for new production, but also to meet the aesthetic demands of customers."
